Introducing Evanston Chiropractor Dr. Jeremy Bonsol

My name is Dr. Jeremy Bonsol, I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2001 with a degree in Microbiology.  With that, I pursued my interests in science by becoming a genetic therapy research assistant.  After being acknowledged in two medical science journals for my work, I still felt something was missing in my life and professional career.  I had always been involved in my community and my church throughout high school and college.  My passion for serving others was not being fulfilled while working in a genetic therapy lab.  By combining my education in science and passion in community service, I chose chiropractic as the best way to express both aspects of my life.  I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 2006.  Because of this decision, I’ve witnessed countless chiropractic miracles and have met so many people who have made impactful life-changes through chiropractic.  I have seen hard-to-control chronic asthma symptoms disappear, helped prevent bilateral knee surgery in a senior patient, and watched a brave child with autism open to her full potential all through the power of chiropractic.  As your newest chiropractor in Evanston, I hope to share my enthusiasm for the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic with as many people as possible.

Dr. Jeremy BonsolOutside of the office, I stay active in many activities.  I started learning piano at 8 years old and continued studying into college, with countless performances for audiences in living rooms and auditoriums.  I also play guitar and am an avid singer/songwriter who likes to hit up the open mic scene and the occasional karaoke venue from time to time.  Aside from music, I enjoy outdoor adventures such as camping, hiking, kayaking, and spelunking.  I love the winter months, because it’s prime time for snowboarding.  I try to get out to Colorado once a year to hit the slopes and slide through some powder.  To stay in shape in the summer months, I enjoy swimming and running.  After doing the 2007 Chicago Marathon, I’m confident I can achieve anything I put my mind to!

I am committed to serving my community through the power of the chiropractic principle.  It is my mission to serve you and your family with the kind of quality chiropractic care that will exceed your expectations. Understanding your specific health concerns will be my sole priority.  I strive to educate and inspire you to take charge of your quality of life and to be an active participant in your own well-being.  I commit myself to helping you achieve your healthcare goals throughout your entire wellness journey.

Dr. Tony Asks some important questions of interest to Evanston residents - Chiropractor Evanston Dr. Tony Asks...

Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
If you have a fever, are you sick or healthy?
Chiropractors love asking this question because it gets to the root of the chiropractic difference. Turns out fevers, vomiting, coughing and even sneezing are all healthy responses. It means your body is working correctly. Taking medications to suppress these natural processes can actually prolong your recovery.
